It's the most wonderful time of the year!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! As you probably have already guessed both school and the children are buzzing with the Christmas spirit! There will be no more home learning or spellings until the new year. The children's holiday learning is to enjoy themselves and make wonderful memories. This week we will collect in all of the children's individual reading books to save them from being misplaced over the holidays. Please continue to read anything and everything (especially those instruction manuals from all the lovely new toys that need to be built!) We hope you all enjoy the production this week, the children have worked incredibly hard. Mrs McCann and Mrs Russam

Are we mad!

Firstly, huge apologies that we have't blogged for a while. The Christmas production is taking over and we are spending a lot of time rehearsing.  Just as the title suggests, are we mad? This afternoon Christmas has officially begun. We have started sewing Christmas stockings. The children discovered it wasn't as easy as it looked and although sometimes they got frustrated they took everything in their stride as used this frustration to help their learning.  Many of them just managed a bit of decoration today and some the achievement of threading the needle! Here are a few photos and we'll update you with our progress!

Fire!

As you may have already hear, we had a fantastic visit today from Caroline. She works for the fire service and reminded us about the importance of keeping safe. We learnt how to stop, drop and roll and how to stay low if we were ever in a fire. Blaze, her mascot, has now taken up residence in our classroom!

A yummy lesson!

Today we made jam sandwiches as part of our literacy lesson. The photos say everything!!
